Western Ghats are a series of mountain ranges running for almost 1500 km through the western peninsular India. The ghats in Kerala attain an average height of 900 mts above sea level with Anamudi forming the top most position with a height of 2694 mt above sea level.

The continous chain of palm fringed backwaters (large lakes) that run parallel to the sea coast is a pride of Kerala. It is a vast network of lakes, lagoons, canals and rivers. The lakes are separated from the sea by a broad or narrow strip of land and are connectd to the sea by permanent openings called "azhis". Kodungallor, Kochi, Neendakara etc.

Kovalam - The internationaly renowned beach is a strip of golden land lying side by side with the serene blue waters of Arabian sea and rich greenary of coconut groves. Kovalam consists of three consecutive crescent shaped beaches and most popular among them is the light house beach. Catamaran cruising, sun bath, swimming, herbal body massage, yoga, meditation, cultural programmes..... the list of pleasent experiences in Kovalam is unending.

Athirappilly
This beautiful waterfall is situated in the entrance of the Sholayar mountain ranges and falls from a height of 80 feet. Vazhachal
This water falls in the middle of dence ever green forest is at a short drive from Athirappilly. These two are the most famous water falls in Kerala.

Sabarimala is one of the most famous Hindu pilgrim centres in South India. The temple situated in dense forests 914 mts above sea level is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. The temple is accessable only by a 4 kms walk through the forest from Pamba. Pilgrim season is from November to mid January. Women between 10 and 50 years of age are not allowed in the temple.

Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple The temple is located in Trivandrum town in the East Fort and covers an area of 2400 sq m. The temple built in the Dravidian style of architecture is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, reclining on Anantha, the serpent.
